Glenn Eder has officially retired from American Highway.

Glenn Eder has officially retired from American Highway.
January 5, 2023, We have all heard the saying "They just don't make them like they used to". This sums up Glenn Eder's 35+ years of experience in the concrete paving industry!
As of the first of the year, Glenn Eder (teacher, mentor, concrete guru) has officially retired from American Highway. Though we are sad to see such a great person in our organization retire, we should celebrate Glenn's contribution, value, and fantastic personality that he brought to not only American Highway but to the entire concrete paving industry.
For year's Glenn had a license plate on his car that read "Dwlbskt". So fitting for a guy that has spent over 35 years of his life in this industry!
From 1986 to 1998 Glenn owned and was the President of Contractors Steel & Accessories, located in the Chicago suburbs. It was there that he established all his Chicago and national relationships in the concrete paving industry. After his company was purchased by Ersco Corporation in 1998, he served as the Vice President & Division Manager of paving supplies until 2007.
Glenn went on to work for another load transfer manufacturer- Block Heavy & Highway from 2007 until 2011 when Block was acquired by Dayton Superior. Glenn made his name within the Dayton organization from 2011 to 2015 where he served as the Sales Manager of Paving Products.
As Glenn has done throughout his career, wherever he went he created immeasurable value for the company he worked for and the customers he served. That was evident when he transitioned from Dayton to JC Supply in 2015. He grew JC's business as the VP of Marketing & Business development until JC supply was purchased by American Highway in December 2020. In 2021, Glenn took over the role of VP of Technical Sales where he served until his retirement at the end of 2022.
On a personal note, Glenn and I have worked together at different times across our careers. My first interaction with Glenn was at Ersco where I was Glenn's salesman from Dayton. Throughout my career, I have considered Glenn a mentor and our business relationship has grown into a personal friendship. I will miss Glenn from his witty Glenn ism's to his unmatched knowledge of this industry.
We wish Glenn well in his life. Enjoy the next chapter, and know that everyone at American Highway loves you and will miss you very much.
Sincerely,
Ron Meskis, CEO
